Eric Hunter is a native Californian who earned graduate degrees in Accounting and Music from San Francisco State University.  He is a tax professional and CPA with over seven years of public accounting experience.

Eric’s first career was as an IT professional for an investment management firm where he developed computer applications to analyze portfolio performance and execute trading strategies.  After fifteen years as a computer programmer, he studied classical music at San Francisco State where he was instructed by one of San Francisco symphony’s flutists.

While in college, Eric started a bookkeeping business where he helped business owners set-up and maintain their QuickBooks accounting systems.  His clients included real estate investors, attorneys, construction contractors, and landscapers.  Eric’s career in public accounting began in 2010 with Burr, Pilger & Mayer where he first developed his affinity for partnership taxation.

Eric joined Calegari & Morris in 2017.  He enjoys the complex challenge of providing his clients with exceptional tax planning and compliance services while utilizing his accounting and computer expertise.  Eric constantly strives to enhance his technical knowledge and is currently earning an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
